Playing DVD movies on iBook? How good is it? (1 Viewer)

Hello,

just wondering if anyone knows what the performance of DVD playback is on the iBooks. I'm getting the 600MHz G3 w/14.1" screen model.

Should this be able to play DVD's back without a hitch? Does the iBook come with the DVD playback software?

P.s. Sorry for all the Mac questions in the last two days...just being a first time Mac buyer, these are things I would like to know which I know nothing about. I've been using PC's for years and years and years.

Welcome to the world of Macs!

You should have no problem running DVD's with your iBook. A friend has the 500 MHz model and it plays movies flawlessly. Yours should be even sweeter with the 14" screen. And yes, Apple's DVD Player software comes pre-installed on the machines.
