Beautiful... but it's gonna cost around $4-5K? In that ballpark is the MC-12 and a bunch of others which are also very nice.

This was announced some time ago. There is a lower end model being released as well (D2?) that does not have the LCD and a few other things.

With the D1 basically being a computer with a DVD-ROM drive I wonder how they are going to handle SACD playback (which they claim will be incorporated)?
As far as I know no DVD-ROM drive can read or process the various pit modulted watermarks, thus they might encounter serious problems configuring the unit for SACD...
