Hey Fellow HTaddicts, I need urgent help...
Is $580 a good price for a pair of Paradigm Montior 7's? I was able to get a local dealer to take off $70 from $650 if I purchase a center channel as well (the Paradigm center channel goes for $199, but I don't remember the model number).

The offer he gave you isn't too bad. However, I can get them locally for around $550. I suggest trying to talk him down to that level if you need to purchase the stateside. Also, if you can get north of the border, you can get the same speakers for around $380 US.

10% discount was all I was able to get from my local dealer for Monitor 7's. The Monitor 7 is a great speaker, in my opinion. I have been enjoying mine for over 3 years.

Careful: IIRC, the "matched" CC for the Monitor 7's is the CC370, which lists for around $350. From your price quoted, you might be looking at the CC170 instead.
