Crutchfield and J&R Music World have dropped the price on the Panasonic DVD-RA60 interlaced DVD-Audio player from $230 to $200. Not a bad price for those looking to jump into DVD-Audio on the cheap and who don't care about progressive-scan video output. Crutchfield has it with the silver chassis, and J&R has it both in black and silver.

I am considering the 'RA60 for my second stereo system just for DVD-Audio. I have no TV there, but I have no problems whatsoever playing Warner DVD-Audio discs in the Technics DVD-A10 in my main system without a TV. The 'RA60 should be just as easy to operate.

Steve, I've seen the 'RA60 on Best Buy's and Circuit City's web sites, but not in the stores.

Steve, thanks for the info. I'll have to look into it. With no sales tax here in Delaware, I'd much rather pick it up locally for $200, if I decide to go for it.
