Optoma has introduced the UHD35STx, a short throw, low latency, 4K UHD home entertainment and gaming projector. Priced at $1,749, the UHD35STx is available now from authorized dealers. Optoma says the new beamer is an evolution of the earlier UHD35 model, which won accolades for creating excellent images for not much more financial outlay than a 1080p projector. It is also considered to be a step-up over the company’s own GT1080HDRx.
Where the new UHD35STx delivers over its 2021 UHD35 sibling is in its impressive 0.5:1 short throw. The UHD35, by contrast, deployed a 1.5:1 – 1.66:1 throw ratio. Otherwise, the new projector integrates all the features of the UHD35, including its 3,600 lumens brightness, image quality, resolution and ultra-low input lag.
