Any opinions on the Onebox Media Center? I am looking to spend about $500 for one on eBay and I am wondering if it is worth it. Here are the specs:

For the price you can do much better then 1 Ghz, especially if you build it yourself (like I do).

The 1GHz C3 processor is not about raw speed, it is about being quiet. The C3 generates very little heat and consumes very little power, allowing it to be cooled silently, and allowing a small silent power supply to power the whole rig. go over to www.mini-itx.com to get more info and see what can be done with these cool little processors.

If you only plan to use it to listen to MP3's and play DVDs it will be plenty fast. However if you want to encode DVDs to DIVX or something I would recommend an athlonXP or P4 rig.
