It may be obvious to many of you, but I'd like to know.
What EXACTLY are the minimums needed. Programs, hardware ETC.
I wasn't considering it, but when I started looking at an older CRT projector it peaked my interest.
Thanks

From what I've been told, a PIII 500/16MB video card machine is the minimum needed to work 'well' with software DVD players.

I use a PII 350, 192 MB Ram, 16MB ATI All-In-Wonder running WinDVD. No problems at all.

Back in '98 I used a PII 400 with 64MB Ram and a 12MB VoodooII graphics card with a Creative PC-DVD 5x ROM drive and it worked admirably.
Although I don't use my PC to run DVDs anymore I'm a little curious to see if there'd be any improvement in performance now that I have 256MB RAM and a Ge-Force 2 64MB graphics card with the same CPU.

Do you guys with older computers watch DVDs on a computer monitor or a FPTV?
