I have an older rec and bought new LSI 15's.
now the rec turns off and says overload.
does his mean i don't have enough power to drive them?
it is a pioneer vsx 505s
it was fine with my cerwin re38's
what gives?
i found if i put the settings on sim surround it works but if i put it on prologic Wham. OVERLOAD. any suggestions besides,
buying a new rec that will come in due time but what will work till then?

My guess is the Pioneer can only handle 8 ohm speakers and it looks like the LSi's are 4 ohm. I believe you can by a converter that would go between the the reciever and speaker that would fix this problem.

Check for short circuits in the speaker wire particularly on the centre channel.
