Hello all,

New to the forum, but not to DVD. I have had a player and have been collecting DVDs since those early days in 1997.

Anyhow, over that time some of my favorite movies have come to DVD, if it be in Region 1 (Force 10 From Navarone etc etc) or Region 2 (When Eight Bells Toll, High Road to China and Lassiter etc etc) and Region 4 (Silver Bears). Thank heavens for region-free players!

There are still some DVDs however that I am still waiting for to be released (in any region).

They include the 1980 Lesley Anne Down thriller "Sphinx" and the Alistair MacLeans adaptations of "Hostage Tower," "Golden rendezvous" and "Bear Island."

Any word on where these titles might be in the DVD pipeline (if anywhere). I am particularly keen to pick up the Lesley Anne Down movie "Sphinx."

Well Warner controls SPHYNX, so you should send them a email, requesting it. The others are owned by banks and other "tax shelter" deals, so who knows who owns them!

How would I go about contacting Warner? Is there an address that members would recommend me trying?
