The contents cooled to near freezing from 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) within 15 seconds after the ringpull was released to trigger the cooling device inside.
Segway, what Segway. Now this is 'it', an invention that could find its way into our everyday lives. And affordable too.
However, how much room would be left in a Guinness with their 'Guinness Floating Draught System' if they added the Icetec doohicky?
edit: cannot believe I misspelled 'Guinness'!

They had an article on this in Popular Science about 8 years ago; evidently one of the original pioneers used to use CO2 fire extinguishers to cool beer for parties.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Could be bad if you were shotgunning the beer and swallowed the cooling device though.
