Hey Guys,
I have NFL 2k3 for XBox and I can't figure out whether it's anamorphic widescreen or not. There is no place that I can find in the game's menu to even put the game into a 16:9 widesscreen mode. My television is not forcing the game into "Full" mode which is what it normally does when it detects a progressive anamorphic signal. When I change my wide mode to full manually, the players on field look correct propertionally, but the overlay, specifically team icons next to the scores and stats, appear to be horizontally stretched. If I change my television to standard 4:3 mode then the team icons look better but the players are stretched vertically. I have my doubts that this game was correctly optimized for widescreen tv's.
Do any of you guys out there with widescreen televisions see any of these abnormalities, or am I just seeing things? I've read many posts that say that this game is true widescreen, but how can that be if there's no menu setting within the game to tell it to go into 16:9 mode? Or is there a setting and I just missed it?
