Me too. Unfortunately, Peter Staddon has commented that this might be a long time in coming. The grainy, fuzzy full-frame LD is an abombination. But if they can put out Zardoz, why not this?

Mr. Staddon, any update on this one?

If you look at my words closely, you'll realize I actually wrote something else.

Of course, I'd buy it instantly, being the huge D.C. fan that I am. That and it's just one fun movie.

It's out in Japan. Widescreen, 16x9, audio commentary, hour-long documentary, ect.
True, but it's also $45. I decided to go the cheap route and get the R2 PAL version from Holland. It's non anamorphic but supposedly has a decent OAR transfer. For $6.99, it will hold me over until the inevitable R1 release.

Why are Japanese discs so damned expensive?!?!?

Is the Japanese DVD in NTSC or PAL? If it's NTSC could someone provide a link to where I could purchase it? Thanks.

It had better be in NTSC for the Japanese market, since that's what prevails there, just like here. PAL is mostly (Western) Europe (Europe only???).

Glad to here it! I just bought it at CDJapan and can't wait to chunk my VHS copy!
