Does anyone know what the approximate price of the new NAD T532 that is coming out at the end of this month? Also what progressive scan player is decent for less than $500, is their such a thing? Is the Onkyo DV-SP500 any good? I need some opinions?

Thanks
Shane

Shane, I don't have a price on the NAD T532, but you might want to call Sound City (1-800-370-3156), as they might have a pre-order price. They are an authorized dealer, and they discount.
As for quality progressive-scan player for under $500, consider the Denon DVD-1600 and Panasonic DVD-RP82. Both have gotten high marks here, as neither show the chroma bug. The '1600 sells for $500 through Crutchfield or brick-and-mortar stores, but 6th Avenue Electronics (www.6ave.com) sells it at a discount. They are an authorized Denon dealer, and you may have to call for the best price.
The 'RP82 is available for $230 or less. For a discounted price, call J&R Music World (1-800-221-8180) or OneCall (1-800-340-4770). Both are authorized dealers.
One thing to note about these two players is that they lack a coaxial digital output. I am especially disappointed that the '1600 at around $500 does not have one. Still, these players have gotten excellent reviews here. For more on these players, do a search here and check www.crutchfield.com .
