NAD 763 vs. 773 (1 Viewer)

Do to the intensive nature of this forum, I was wanting to get some advice relative to purchasing a 763 or 773? Clearly, I understand the NAD 773 is 7.1 vs. 6.1 for the 763. Also, the wattage is increased by 10 watts per channel. Does anyone have an opinion on this? The 773 is about a $300 premium vs. the 763. Perhaps it is overkill for a home theater. (On this forum, that seems to be an oxymoron.)

the 763 is a nice piece of equipment. For me when you start hitting that price range I would start thinking seperates. That is just me though. The 163 preamp goes for the same price as the 763. yes you have to buy the 5 or 7 channel amp but it would be worth it in the long run.
