Considering these for front speakers. Anybody out there have this setup? Wondering if its worth it to fill the front towers with the sand? These puppies (the towers) will fit just nicely under my shelf (top space was a consideration).

Fill the towers with sand . . . might be advisable if one has a lurking kitty.
I use Mission 775e's. No lightweights but the darn cat mangaged to knock one over - twice!
To overcome the problem I've replaced the supplied plinths (they're nothing fancy, 25mm MDF that slightly increases the footprint) with some granite ones from HNE systems. A vast improvement - all round.
