Hi,
I finally watched this film yesterday and noticed something odd.
It appears that some lines of Indian dialogue have not been subtitled. At first I didn't think much of it, however I began to wonder when I came to the scene where Stands with a Fist teaches him Lakota and wants him to translate "This man is a fighter!" (Side 2, approx. 35:45). He tries to but screws it up which makes her laugh. This is not subtitled on the DVD. However, I had the extended cut on VHS and it was subtitled there. I still remember that he said "This man is a bone" instead of "This man is a fighter".
Of course this makes me wonder about the other occasional lines of dialogue missing.
Also, I noticed that at one point Dunbar says "Good" and they actually subtitled that "Good" (unless of course the Lakota word just happens to sound exactly the same).
