Sound like a good idea. You put a tiny insert into the iPhone and then the special end of the product's cable magnetically attached to the phone for charging or data transfer. Got the product and it works as advertised (haven't tried data transfer). Only then did I release a big problem. The phone can't be charged with a standard lightening cable unless the tiny insert is removed which is difficult. Removing it increases the chances of it being lost.
I would have to buy 4 more of these to cover all the charging locations we use and they cost $18. I guess I'll return it, but even that will cost me because it was fulfilled but not sold by Amazon.
