Marantz SR7200 OSD Problem (1 Viewer)

I'll be damned if I can figure this one out. Can anyone help before I call Marantz?

When I try to turn on my OSD using the remote (the only way to turn it on, I think) I get a high frequency noise and white snow in lines on a black background across the TV screen. To get rid of it, I need to power the receiver off and back on. If I change sources without trying the OSD, I get the normal 5 second or so display listing the source and surround mode.

If I seclect DVD as a source without the DVD player on, I also get a black screen with similar snow/high frequency noise. In this case it goes away if I pick another source or turn on the DVD player though.

Any suggestions?

I am having a similar problem whenever I try to view the OSD for setting the speaker levels, distance, or to setup the inputs it goes to broken up looking text like white snow on a black background.
Does anyone know of a way to cure this without taking it in for service?
