Looking for budget DVD for my Ma for xmas (1 Viewer)

Right now I'm looking at the Toshiba SD-4900 or the Panny DVD-S25S.

Picture quality isn't a great big concern, but I need a player that won't have problems playing back DVD-R's. I'm planning on getting a Memorex burner for my PC soon, and would like her to be able to playback movies of her granddaughter.

Do any of you have experience with one of these players, or other sub $100 players playing back DVD-R's?

JVC and Panasonic's players are compatible with all the DVD recordable types, not sure about that Toshiba.
