"Is there a mode on any Lexi processor that will send sound to JUST the surround speakers?"

You can use 2 channel surround (Party on MC-1 and earlier) and then use the fader to move the sound just to the surrounds.

Well, happy to report the CD/SACD player does not exhibit the same issues as my DVD/DVD-A player. I loaded it with alternating CD,SACD,CD,SACD,CD and flipped through each and the MC-8 switched perfectly between inputs using MusicLogic for the cd's and 5.1a on the SACD's without any problems.
