Actually, this article was very good. Lots of juicy tidbits and you can always hand it to Probst that he'll tell it like he sees it. It's refreshing.

I remember reading somewhere that he was just overall a complete asshole at the party. He got drunk and was hitting on all the women along with trying to lift Eliza's skirt up on a few occasions. Just really immature crap. I am sure somebody knows more about it than I do.

I don't understand why Probst hates Chris so much. Twila was a great player, but so was Chris (even though he was probably the luckiest player in Survivor history). Is it because Chris lied to Julie and Twila didn't? And why is SAS so high and Marquesas so low? He claimed to have miserable experiences on both yet All Stars is #4 and Marquesas is #8.

My ranking:
1. Outback
2. Pearl Islands
3. Borneo
4. Marquesas
5. All Stars
6. Vanuatu
7. Amazon
8. Africa
9. Thailand

The list is more about Probst's ranking of the viewable quality of the seasons, but his personal feelings about the seasons given his own experience is a different matter. He's ranking the seasons as to which seasons had the better "TV" viewing IQ in his humble opinion.

So he ranks All-Stars #4, but hated the experience of it (having to deal with the egos, and how the game was somewhat changed since players were familiar with one another), that's fine, but he's saying All-Stars was the 4th best season in terms of "Good TV" among the seasons so far.

He seems to have based a lot of it solely on the final four/final two of each season.

I'm not sure what was "sleazy" about Brian's game, but then again they probably edited out a lot. Then he goes on saying:
I thought Rob was sleazy!

I think Brian is considered sleazy because he was described as being a used car salesmen, and just by affiliation, he was branded sleazy, plus, the way he was able to sell himself to the rest of the contestants to further himself in the game (outwitting them). Later, it's discovered that Brian appeared in some softcore Skinemax-like movies. That can't help public perception. But, Brian went through the immunity challenges like a champ towards the end, and was able to make his own fate by taking the most disliked player Clay to the final two with him (it helped that the more capable and strong contestants were gone by this late point in the game, again, his strategies worked to eliminate physical threats to him earlier in the game, while delaying his possible ouster on other people's agendas by his guile).

Those are really good points that go a long way in explaining why he is considered more sleazy then others such as Rob.

In fact I think Brian was a considerably better player then Rob because in the end he was able to actually win the game.

I agree that Brian is the better player than Rob and he's definitely underrated by the general public (who consider him a Hatch wannabe), but overrated by hardcore Survivor fans (on the Survivor Sucks message board, they call him Lord and Master Heidik).

But while Brian was a better player, most people (myself included) like Rob C. a lot better. I think the main difference is that everyone could tell Rob C. was a genuinely nice guy who, outside of the game, would be fun to hang out with. Brian didn't come off that way. Just the way he acted and the things he said, he kind of creeped me out.

But you also need to take into account their relationships with SEG, Survivor's production company. Ever since the porn thing leaked, SEG and Brian haven't been the best of friends, and it didn't help when he asked for an appearance fee to go on All Stars (I bet he was upset when he learned that the first boot got $25,000).
