Is it possible to buy reel to reel tape? (1 Viewer)

I didn't know where to post this and I'd like to know if it's still possible to buy tape for these old machines.

My nephew is in a band and he's going to attempt to use a very old reel to reel recorder to record his band that we found in my parents basement. I realize that DAT would be prefereable, but the reel to reel has the advantage that it's free.

We only found 1 tape with the machine and he'll obviously need more. Is anyone aware of anyone selling these tapes?

Yes, they still manufacture 1/4" open-reel tape. A quick Google search on "reel to reel" & tape & blank turns up a number of suppliers. Here's one: http://www.usrecordingmedia.com/opreelrectap.html
