IR Connecting to AVR Question. (1 Viewer)

Not sure if this is the right forum.

Can I use a mini stereo plug with pin on both the ends to connect one side to the Xantech IR connecting block and the other directly into my AVR or SAT/CAB box to transfer IR commands from another room through the remote control and IR receiver.

What is available in the market through the Xantech 291 Kit and similar, is one side mini plug and the other side is IR mouse flasher.

You probably can't mix a stand-alone repeater system with your other equipment hardwired. Receivers with mini-plug outputs typically only control other equipment from the same brand.

Not that that’s a problem – the Zantech you linked will do what you need.
