I have noticed some internet direct companies list MSRPs on their sites, then they list a direct price usually at a significant discount.

My question is, if they are the manufacturer and they are selling the speakers direct then why don't they sell their products at their own suggested retail prices?

You will usually find that manufacturers require that their dealers post a MAP - or, minimum advertised price. From there, you add the item to your cart or call them and get a much better price. Listing the MSRP is only done to keep in good standing with the requirements of the manufacturer.
