Hi guys, I really would like your guys' opinion on my current system and where you think my weak spots are as far as performance. I have about $1000 to spend so right now I'm thinking either a new reciever ( my current one doesnt decode DTS) or a new subwoofer and better surrounds. Well here's my current system. Thank you in advance for all your opinions and ideas. System as follows:
Reciever: Harmon Kardon AVR 35 ( rated 35 watts per channel, has subwoofer out for 5.1 audio, no DTS, assembled October 1998)
TV: Sony WEGA-KV27FV16 ( I've had it for less than a year, sqeeze mode is manual, doesn't seem to exhibit any of the geometry problems or color banding like some people have had)
DVD Player: Phillips Magnavox DVD815AT (A reliable player I've had for 3 years, can handle dts, has features I want like zoom mode, doesn't have component connections, does have optical out)
Left/Right speakers: PSB Century 300ci (sweet, musical sounding bookshelf speakers, tend to break up at very high levels but very good at resonable levels, nice tweeter)
Center Channel: Century200ci (pretty good center but the tweeter is only 3/4ths of an inch compared to one inch on the mains)
Surrounds: Optimus Pro LX5 (probably the weekest link in my system, it chugs at high levels, the Lineaum tweeter works well as a surround though)
Well there you have it, I'll let you take over now guys, thanks.
