I got $3000 budget. Can I get a better system than the ORBS with this budget? (1 Viewer)

I am about to spend close to $3000 on an orb 7.1 system
2 Mod2 Speaker for front
1 Mod4 Speaker for center
4 Mod2 Speaker for surround/back
Orb UBER TEN 300W Subwoofer
Yamaha RX-V765

I will mostly use in my HT for watching movies. My room is 18 ft w x 20 ft deep x 9 ft h.

Please advise if I could get something better for this kind of money considering one of the requirements is to have satellite speakers to be placed on the ceiling.

I would appreciate any advise.

Speaker choices are really up to your own ears and preferences. Orbs are good speakers, especially if you are limited to satellite speakers. You might also consider Mirage Omnisats (or nanosats if you want something smaller).

You can probably do better on the sub . . . possibly the SVS PB12.

well that last line restricts choices right there,,
I've installed orb before with the marantz 1501 7.1 reciever
[step up over yamaha] and the customer can't stop loving the way it sounds,,
imaging,,
live feel

I myself was pleasantly satisfied with the set up so i say go for it,,
they do have a guarantee...
please use decent speaker wire say at least flex 14/2 audioquest or type2
