This has 3 modes of listening, noise cancelation, ambient, and "OFF", meaning neither Ambient or NC.
NC mode sounds great but Ambient and Off sound terrible with muddy sound and overbearing bass.
My JBL Tune 600btnc sounds good in both off and NC, but off has less bass and treble. No ambient mode on this model.
My JBL Tune 230NC earbuds sound the best with OFF, NC, and Ambient sounding all the same and really good and neutral.
I just wanted a pair of actual headphones that could do wired and bluetooth while having an ambient mode that I could use for movies while still hearing the kids and people if need be. Very disappointed in the 460nc and back to Amazon they go! Seems I may just stick to the Tune series.
