Can anybody tell me where to find out what the default for attributes for various HTML elements are? I'm working on my resume and am trying to do it in HTML. I'm using Homesite 5 and writing everything in HTML 4.01 using stylesheets. I'd like to change the appearance of some of the headers and lists. It seems simple enough, but I got no idea which attributes are defined by default.
My speciic problem is I'd like to make my lists not be indented anymore than H4. I'd like the bullets in my UL list to line up exactly with the text above them. I've messed with margin-left, list-style-position, padding-left, but nothing realy works like I want it to or would think it would. So I figure that something is already set to cause indentation, and all I got to do is unset it. But how do I find out what that is?
