HS10/AE300 Question (1 Viewer)

I am thinking of buying either a Sony HS10 or a Panny AE300. I am just wondering how they work with sources such as digital cable? Does it automatically "stretch" the image? Also, I am thinking of building my own screen with MDF Board / High Gain Screen Goo. What would be the best aspect ratio? 2.35:1?

The best aspect ratio screen to build for either of these pj's is 16x9 (1.78:1) to correspond to both of their native aspect ratios. If I were to choose between the two, I would go for the HS10 personally, based on the increased resolution because I would not only keep DVD in mind, but HDef material including the future HDDVD format.
