I have dish network with the echostar 301 receiver and I didn't apply for local channels. I've hooked the antenna straight to the receiver so how do I get to the local channels? it doesn't go under channel 100, what do I do?

Check in your set up menu..I have the 6000 and you have to change something in the set up menu...

If you go into the setup menu, you choose local area. You will then input your zipcode after it loads, and you will then be able to pick up local channels

You have to turn the 301 off or hit the Sat/TV button on the remote (if there is one). There is no TV tuner in the 301, the antenna feed is just a pass through.
