How cheap do projectors get before they start to suck? (1 Viewer)

I dont really have a budget per se, and i just wanted to know what the bare-minimum cheapest possible bare-bones projector that still retains usable picture quality sells for?

How much does one have to spend on a decent projector to get true HD output (720p & 1080i)? The talk to the Panny 300u intrigues me, but it is only half HD...

Actually, at this point 720p is your only real choice. There are no current projectors that will 1080 natively. The cheapest 720 capable would probably be the Sony HS10 (around $2300 street if you can find one in stock), but I think that will be changing in about 6 weeks
