Supposedly the random subtitles problem has been fixed, the missing fake-Swedish subtitle is still missing, and there is no guarantee that you will get a "fixed" version if you buy now.

I have the first version. Is it likely the studio will switch it for me as Fox was so kind to do with Cleopatra, and MGM did with James Bond?

You'll need to do a search for the Holy Grail glitch thread for details, but the answer is "kinda."

Apparently, you have to send the whole set back to them, and they will send a replacement.

Saw this in the theater this past weekend and the first Swedish subtitle was indeed present. I guess Columbia never bothered to fix the D V D though.
