HK 230 vs. Onkyo 601 (1 Viewer)

Any thoughts on these 2 receivers? I would be running them with some Paradigm Titans/Atoms/CC170. I can get both for about the same price. They seem to offer the same features/specs.

I know that HK is pretty warm. What is Onkyo considered?

My opinions as I just recently had the Hk 230 at home. Very nice receiver. Has pre-outs for external amp, Logic 7, warm sounding.
I had the Onkyo 600 which was a nice receiver but I had issues with it...so it went back. It also doesn't have pre-out to add an external amp.
Both would satisfy your needs....I don't like the looks of the new HKs so I might opt for a HK 325. Have you considered the Yamaha 5760?

I've never been a big fan of the yammy's. I do like that they offer them in silver now though.

Onkyo is bright to my ears with my speakers. YMMV

Preouts should be tops on your feature list if you're looking for a receiver to last, so without any hesitation I'll recommend the H/K.
