Hi folks,

I bought a JVC 61" DILA (all-black) TV on Sept 6th, but they were out of stock. They aren't expected until mid to late October.

So, I've had some time to comtemplate my purchase. I still like the JVC, but I'm starting to be intrigued by the Hitachi VS810 series.

Anyone have any suggestions regarding these 2 sets? Does anyone have either of these sets? Anyone know how the VS810 series would do opposite a couple of windows (reflections?)?

Thanks.

OK, since nobody responded...

So your deciding bewteen two different technologies here?
Makes a comparison a little touch...

LCOS -vs- LCD RP

The Hitachi LCD RP, doesn't seem as bright as say the Sony LCD RP displays.

But which is brightest in a window lit room between LCOS and RP LCD???

I'm going to say I think the LCOS will best the LCD on brightness / compete'n with natural window light.

This is all glare screens aside. I have found any given display is likely to have a glare screen that does not do well at all handling stray light. Of course not owning any of these, I only can go by what I see on the show room floors, and there is not usually any such light sources to make any sort of comparisons from.
