HELP !! whitish halo on TW56X81 (1 Viewer)

I am hoping someone here on HTF can guide me in the right direction. My Tw56x81 has begun to display a whitish halo on very black scenes and when the scenes fade to black. I had the set ISF'ed right after I bought it and all has been well.

Any advice will be appreciates

Check your contrast setting. Have Avia or equivalent? Needlepulse/steps pattern.
There maybe a problem with the high voltage side. Too much beam current maybe. If not under warranty might want to call in a tv tech or if you are up to it check this out and try to fix yourself.

Read this first after checking white level and see if it solves your problem.

You may also want to check the convergence on the set. It will drift over time. I was noticing a similar affect on my 56H80, and I had not checked the convergence for awhile. It was off, and an adjustment there fixed the problem.
