Their criteria are
1) fit the entertainment center (means 32 or 36 direct view)
2) must be 4:3 but no real budget (around $2k is OK)
My criteria are
1) HDTV ready
2) anamorphic mode (preferrably automatically)
3) 3:2 pulldown
I've read and searched and poked and probed the net and these forums and am looking for input on the following sets:
Panasonic 32/36HX
Sony 32/36XBR450
Toshiba 32/36HF / HFX
Hitachi 36UDX
Samsung 3295HF
Any I'm forgetting? They want something that will last and be able to be used for a good 10 or more years (i.e. relatively future ready). I know for some of these width may be an issue but we'll deal with that when we get there.
