I'm looking to either build a HTPC or just buy one.

First of all, I've got my components list ready so now I just need to find the right PC Case to house it. I've been researching the internet and found some really nice cases built to match your a/v systems. Here's what I narrowed it down to:

Silverstone LC10M
(http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-lc10m.htm)
-nice sized to fit full ATX board and extra ports, cool VFD display
-noisy fans

Ahanix D5 Media Center
(http://www.ahanix.com/ahanix_product.asp?pid=8)
-nice sized to fit full ATX board and extra ports, cool VFD display, similar to LC10M
-noisy fans

Hush ATX System (http://www.logicsupply.com/product_i...roducts_id/267)
-fanless!
-best looking of the bunch
-limited ports

I really like the look and feel of these boxes and they blend in really well with my a/v and HD setup. I like the HUSH ATX case (b/c of it's fanless feature and overall looks), but unfortunately you have to buy the system to get that great case.

Anyone ever had any experience with either of these cases or system? Does anyone know of any other manufacturers of HTPC a/v-style cases out there? Thanks for your help and feedback!

why not just buy either the silverstone or ahanix case and get a fanless power supply, zalman silent cpu cooler, and silent vga card cooler? this should dramatically decrease the volume.

The cooling grille on the Hush case allows rapid cooling with a fanless setup, but if I don't think it would be a good idea to remove the fan setup for the other two cases, their lack of ventilation alone may cause the heat to buildup quickly with no fan pumping the heat out, could overheat the system?

I've read reviews where complaints pointed out the fan noise from the Silverstone and Ahanix cases as they kick in.

So has anyone ever seen a similar case to the Hush setup where I can buy the case seperately? I think those side cooling grilles definitely give it a great look.
