Help - DVD Player Spec and Selection (1 Viewer)

I am planning on buying a DVD player to use with a FP. I have not chosen the projector yet, but let's assume that the DVD player outputs will match the projector inputs. I would like to have good video quality but I expect to spend less than $200 on the DVD player. There will be no more than 25' between the player and the projector (ideally less than 10').

What specifications should I look for in a DVD player? Even better...Can anyone suggest a DVD player that would fit this application?

I had difficulty searching this on the forum. Any links would be greatly appreciated.

A top-rated Panasonic XP30 would be ideal for that application, use 480p progressive mode.

Refurbed Denon 910 or 1200 perhaps? Both under $200.
