.Hack anime films (1 Viewer)

I noticed tomorrow (3/18/03) that there is a DVD coming out called ".Hack//Sign-Login". I believe this is volume 1, with volume 2 coming out in May.

I just recently bought the PS2 game (#1 out of a 4 volume set) but haven't beaten it yet. Does anybody know where these anime movies fall into the storyline? Do I/should I beat the game first before watching this movie?

I don't know much about .Hack//Sign, but from what I understand, the game just provides backstory. I don't know for sure though. I would go over to the software section, and post this question in "Advanced Anime Discussion". You will get a much better response there.
