i just unpacked my n64 that i hadn't touched in years. i love mario kart, and so i play that a lot. i'm awaiting mario tennis, mario 64, and castlevania. i bought them in a bundle basically for tennis, but haven't decided if i'll keep the others. anyways, can anyone recommend other n64 games? i don't really like rpg's. oh yeah, i didn't get into bond, but i think i may try. thanks in advance.

Mario 64 is a keeper...Castlevania is not. Here is my list of 64 games to get.

Mario 64
Mario Tennis
Mario Golf
Mario Cart
Mario Party 1-3
Zelda(both)
F-Zero X
GoldenEye
Rogue Squadron
Super Smash Brothers
Pokemon Puzzle League(warning...its like drugs!)
Star Fox 64
Turok 2
Perfect Dark
Banjo Kazooie
Conkers Bad Fur Day(hilarious for multiplayer)

One game and one word: Goldeneye.

It doesn't matter if you like Bond or not, that game was the king right up to Halo (and maybe still?)

I traded in my N64 for a PS2, and am now starting to miss it.

Games to look for if interested:
THQ Wrestling Series(Wrestlemania 2000, WCW/NWO) Avoid No Mercy (defective copies floating around)
WinBack
Perfect Dark

I don't have a large number of N64 anymore, but the ones I keep around are Orge Battle 64(I know you said you dislike RPG, but it more strategy based), Paper Mario (so very fun), and the two Zelda games.

In no particular order:
Ogre Battle 64
Sin & Punishment (if you can find the import)
Paper Mario
Mario 64
Goemon's Great Adventure
Castlevania Legacy of Darkness (the second one)
Hybrid Heaven
Conker
Banjo Kazooie
Winback (if you don't have it on PS2)
Goldeneye
Kirby
The World Is Not Enough
Mario Tennis
Mario Golf
Zelda OOT
Zelda MM
F-Zero X
All of these games are still very playable and, graphically, have aged fairly well.
Some others that haven't aged as well but are still good if you can get past some aesthetic issues:
Turok 1-3
Body Harvest
Hope that helps.

Definately The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Regarded by many as the epitome of gaming! Mostly 10's from just about every reputable review source out there!

I am in the minority, but Jet Force Gemini is one of my 5 favorite N64 games. Some folks couldn't get past the collecting aspect of the game & others found the controls and/or framerate to be poor. I think it rocked.

I think the rest of my favorites have already been mentioned by the others.

I agree about Jet Force Gemini. The first time I played the game, I only got about halfway through. A year later, I picked it up again and couldn't put it down until I got EVERYTHING.

God...how could I forget Paper Mario.
I deserved to be dismembered for forgetting such an amazing game.

One of my favorite early N64 games was Blast Corps - the concept was a bit wierd, but I thouroughly enjoyed it. It looks simple when you're watching someone else play, but once I picked up the controller, I was hooked!

God, I hated that version of Castlevania....I played it for a few hours and nearly broke the cart. Bad memories...

I second Blast Corps. I picked this up for $5.99 at the grocery store over the weekend. The game is just great.
I'm hoping Rare does a sequel for the Xbox.
