Official title: Godzilla Minus One

Godzilla Minus One, the first Japanese-produced Godzilla film since Shin Godzilla in 2016, will debut in Japan on November 3, 2023 and will get a theatrical release in the United States on December 1.

“Set in a post-war Japan, Godzilla Minus One will once again show us a Godzilla that is a terrifying and overwhelming force, which you already get a sense of from the teaser trailer and poster,” said Koji Ueda, President of Toho International.

Ueda said the film, directed and written by Takashi Yamazaki, will share continuity with 2016’s Shin Godzilla.

That makes it look like the title is "1.0" not "Minus One". So...I'm guessing that the middle character is a dash rather than a period, and it's supposed to be read right to left? It was my understanding that Japanese is read left to right when presented as horizontal rows, but when presented in vertical columns, it's read right to left (well, read top to bottom in each column, and the columns read right to left).
