    I understand the Ghost in the Shell Special Edition DVD was released on Tuesday (Jan 11th, 2005), but I can't seem to find it at any of the local stores (Future Shop, Best Buy, Wal Mart) or their websites (futureshop.ca, bestbuy.ca). I could only find it as an IMPORT on amazon.ca...

    Did I miss something? Is this disc not being released in Canada?

    Hows this SE compare to the orig. Manga release? Is it worth it to double-dip? I've got the orig. Manga DVD and like it quite a bit. Love the film.

    Actually I think there was only a 30 min doc in the first release.

    Feb 8th, eh? Any reason why the States gets it so much earlier?

    Personally, I'd get it just for the DTS Japanese track, which should be much better than the stereo Japanese soundtrack on the original DVD.

    The Canadian version is probably done by a different distributor than the American version.

    uh oh... please don't say alliance Atlantis got their grubby paws on this...

    let me guess... no
    Japanese DTS track to make room for a second French track...

    oh please say it ain't so!

    Not sure if my info is wrong but for a 2 disc the extras seem slim to none.

    anyone have more or different details?
