Hey guys, is Fleetwood Mac Live in Boston anamorphic widescreen? How about DTS? I heard it was shot with high definition cameras, so I hope the anamorphic is a "go." I don't want Fleetwood Mac to make the Rush in Rio mistake. :D

Thanks,

David

It is indeed 16:9 anamorphic, shot in HD. The audio is PCM and Dolby 5.1. The PCM is fantastic, with excellent bass. The Dolby track, however, is virtually useless. There's barely any low end and the resolution is very weak.

The concert is about 2 1/2 hours and is spread over two discs. I wonder if they had dropped the Dolby track if it would have fit on one disc. The set includes a CD of several live tracks.

The packaging is a non-standard CD-size digipak that unfolds to four panels. The two end panels are pockets that hold the booklet and CD, while the inner panels hold the DVDs on plastic hubs. It's very flimsy and has no outer sleeve or case to hold it together. Why the decision to use this cheap packaging?

I still love this set. I was able to see them in Minneapolis last winter during this tour. Too bad Christine McVie is missing in action. Maybe next time.
