Excessive CPU cycles when idle (1 Viewer)

Please help,
When i bring up the "processes tab" it shows explorer.exe at about 100. I have all windows xp updates, sp2. Scanned with Norton 2005, adaware and spybot. "Applications tab" doesn't show anything. Getting quite frustrated.

explorer.exe is Windows Explorer (e.g. your OS). If it's running at 100% almost constantly, then I would guess that you've got a virus or other malicious software. You might try scanning with an online virus scanner since you've already used your own.
