well,
i'm all set for the eagles home opener this sunday. i will be there cheering on the green & white of course, but it should be a tough game.
any predictions??
i think the birds will prevail, but it will be close. having troy vincent get hurt yesterday really sucks!

It should be a good tight game. The Rams 1st team offense has played together very little this pre-season so there could still be some rust there.
My prediction (if the game gets played) is Rams 24, Eagles 20.

Rams will have too much firepower for the birds. They'll win it this year but next year is up in the air.

Donovan McNabb will throw for 250 yards, run for 100, and account for 4 touchdowns.
At least, that's what the River City Bungles are hoping for... :)

it will be very interesting to see how far mcnabb has come since last year. the guy worked like crazy in the offseason, he is an absolute perfectionist. and andy reid just keeps impressing me more and more as time goes by.
come on, any eagles fans out there?!?!?

Count me in as a die-hard Eagles fan, displaced I may be! I'm hoping the game will actually be broadcast down here in Richmond - not really a big football town (the local Fox affiliate rarely carries both an early and late game, preferring, ironically, to show re-runs of "Coach").
Still, I'll be donning my well-worn Mike Mamula jersey and cheering on the birds this weekend - should be a good game!

The birds need Vincent to come back.
Last I heard he was questionable, but I don't think their corners will stand a chance against the juggernaut known as the rams without vincent in there.
The eagles have a huge year ahead of them though and I can't wait to see them break the giants curse and finally take the NFC East
I just read that Vincent was did not practise today but there was still a hope that he would be able to play sunday
keep your fingers crossed boys.
oh and on a side note, how hard is it to find Eagles merchandise in canada? I had to order a damn hat from nfl.com and it was 16 bucks, they charged me another 12bucks shipping and said it'll get here in about 29 days. thanks guys.

If I may vent for just a second:
Fall on the damn ball!!!!! You're so preoccupied with running it into the endzone that you fail to realize you'd have the ball at the 10 with 2:30 left, no timeouts for the Rams, and one of the best placekickers in the league!!!! ARRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!
There, that felt better. :)
A tough loss (I had this marked as their toughest non-Giants game of the year), but the ability to overcome the crushing early turnovers and the overall performances of the defense, McNabb, and Pinkston bode well for the Eagles playoff chances.
But where was James Thrash? Didn't do much for being the #1 receiver on the team.

Thrash's performance was very dissapointing
Very promising to see the Eagles recover from such a poor first half, it's amazing really, the Rams converted two of those turnovers into touchdowns and besides that only scored the one field goal.
Not quite as amazing as Tennessee's brutal performance but still I think most ppl expected more from their offense, i guess credit should go to the philly d.

That was a great game. I hate the Rams so I was pulling for the Eagles. If it weren't for the early turnovers (lots of them), I believe they would have won.
Their defense is very impressive! And we all know DEFENSE wins championships. Rest well, Eagles fans, they will have a very good year.
