Downfall: 3 hour cut on DVD? (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know abything about the rumoured/upcoming 3 hour version of Downfall (Der Untergang). I saw it in a re-run theater a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. Fantastic movie. I'd really love to see an extended version, and I believe the rumour is that a german TV version has been prepared. Anybody know if and when it'll hit DVD and where? Presumably Germany first?

NB if this discussion ends up being about the content of the inserted 30 minutes (which I am very curious about) then moderators please move to Movies section!

The german TV premiere is next week on Oct. 19./20. (two parts).

The release date for the german R2 three-disc-set (with the extended cut and little more extras than the premium edition) is Oct. 28th.

Unfortunately there will be only a Dolby Surround 2.0 track, no DTS or DD 5.1.
