DIY speaker cables (1 Viewer)

I'm looking at making my own speakers cable using Cat5. Question. Is all Cat5 the same? I site that talks about the DIY cables uses Belden Cat5, yet I can't find a supplier in the area. Any input would be appreciated.

there are teflon versions available. the idea is to try and minimize the capacitance a bit which you'll get during the braiding process.
