Agreed that it's fantastic, I think I'll like it more on repeat viewings.
This is in the same vein as A Matter of Life and Death as it has a minor element related to belief in the supernatural and how the lives of ordinary people can be touched by it.
I wish I'd seen this in the proper setting of a theatre with an audience, but I missed the chance earlier this year.

I love these guys, and it's hard to resist giving away extra points just for making such fantastically well-formed movies. My favorites are Peeping Tom, Black Narcissus and Col. Blimp. I'm going to see as many of these film as I can get my hands on; I have Canterbury Tale rented for tonight.
