As I may have mentioned before, I love my Panasonic RP-91(enough to own two of them!). Their scaling ability alone earns it a continual spot in one of my systems.
Michael, just to make sure, I was under the impression that the Denon 3800 and 9000 have the same scaling abilities as the RP-91. Am I mistaken?

I have the 3800 and it has a Zoom feature, but no scaling ability like the RP91. I imagine the 9000 is the same.

Squeeze mode windowboxes 4:3 material in a 16:9 screen, I assume, for RPTV's that lock on full. I have no need of this feature so haven't tried it out.

Thanks for your response Tom. But isn't that exactly what people are referring to when they talk about the "scaling abilities" of the RP-91?

The 9000 doesn't scale. Zoom works ok but its not at all the same. The squeeze mode displays a 4:3 window in the middle of the 16X9 screen with black bars on either side.
