Denon menu screen while using DVE (1 Viewer)

I would like to use the pink noise on the dve with my spl meter to set levels...but the only way to change the levels that I have figured out so far is to shoot to the menu screen (which uses the tv so you can't see the dve anymore...just the big black menu screen)...and adjustments of the channel levels can only be done when the internal test tones are going off. How are you supposed to use a meter with the DVE pink noise screen with Denon receivers?

Look at your remote - it may have buttons to do this. My Onkyo does.

However, that is not why I'm responding... Why not use the internal tones? They are 75db (-30db) and will be more accurate than using a disc with Dolby or DTS.

Most people prefer to use the DVE pink noise from what I've read.
